Automation and Controls Specialist / Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Automation and Controls Specialist / Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in designing, programming, and supporting automation systems that power innovative solutions for their customers.

Location: Covington, GA (Headquarters)

Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder

• PLC Programming – Develop and implement PLC programs from scratch to support a wide range of products and systems.
• Program using Carel Software and Automation Direct (Direct
  
  LOGIC) PLCs.
  
  Experience with
  Allen Bradley, Siemens
  , and other platforms is highly desirable.
• Provide remote technical support (phone and email) to troubleshoot customer issues.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for installation support, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Minimum 5 years of direct PLC programming experience required.

• Select and specify electrical and automation components (motors, circuit breakers, relays, VFDs, controllers, etc.).
• Create and maintain a Job Parts Control Sheet (JPCS) in Excel for procurement.
• Strong Excel proficiency is highly beneficial.

• Collaborate with the CAD and electrical design teams to support testing, validation, and integration of electrical designs and PLC programs.
• Participate in testing and verification of PLC programming (Direct
  
  LOGIC Software) to ensure quality and reliability.
