Packaging Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Covington, GA.

• Optimize packaging for efficiency, standardization, cost saving, and adherence to quality standards.
• Participate in packaging projects for commercial products, ensuring they meet business requirements.
• Involve in packaging activities, from conceptualizing design options to selecting and modifying packaging, equipment, and materials.
• Convert customer, regulatory, and marketing needs into viable product solutions.
• Develop prototypes of concepts and subcomponent mechanisms.
• Design and develop tooling and fixturing required to support commercial products.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers to identify suitable materials and components.
• Ensure packaging specifications meet customer, marketing, and regulatory requirements.
• Write testing protocols.
• Document activities in accordance with existing policies and procedures.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.

- 5:30 p.m.

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Mechatronic Engineering, Packaging Engineering or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
  Coordinating translation of customer requirements;
  Medical device or pharmaceutical industry;
  Employing various analysis techniques, including Failure Mode Analysis, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Finite Element Analysis & modeling, tolerancing analysis, and statistical analysis; and Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, TOPS/CAPE, and various statistical software packages.
• Must have one (1) year of experience with/in:
  Designing innovative packaging or mechanisms; and Design experience with AutoCAD, Artios, and Solidworks.

Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
