Acute Care Speech Pathologist - PRN

This is a full-time position working at Piedmont Newton. We are looking for an outstanding and experienced candidate with Acute care speech-language pathology experience and experience performing and interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) is preferred.

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.

May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school Required

• CCC
  - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Required
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology Required
• BCLS
  - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC Required
