AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Key Responsibilities
  • Scale support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
  • Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
  • Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment.
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
  • Establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
  • Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
  • Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

  • This role will be based in Covington, GA, with reporting responsibilities to Lithia Springs, GA and Downtown Atlanta for a minimum of six months.
Travel

Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
  • Data center experience.
  • Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, Network+.
  • Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.
