Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Onsite - Covington, GA 30014

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule (11.5-hour shifts; rotates monthly between day/night; work half the month)

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) activities and maintain PM logs.
• Inspect, dismantle, and rebuild machines and equipment as needed.
• Identify root causes of malfunctions through visual inspection, testing, and PLC diagnostics.
• Replace or repair defective parts using tools, machining, and welding techniques.
• Calibrate, test, and reassemble machinery after repair.

• Use and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to identify issues and perform logic-based troubleshooting.
• Modify PLC programs and input/output configurations when required.
• Interpret ladder logic and electrical schematics.

• Operate metalworking equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, etc.) for fabrication or repairs.
• Develop and follow facility maintenance programs to prevent equipment downtime.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints and technical drawings.

• Maintain safe work practices and comply with all Bridgestone Golf safety standards.
• Handle hazardous materials and tools responsibly.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and handle tools.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 60 lbs.
• Work in noisy, temperature-variable environments (seasonally hot/cold).
• Must be available for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
