Overview
Quality Assurance Technician - Urgent Need at Bard Global Distribution Center.
Location:
Covington, GA. Duration: 6 Months Contract. Start Time: 8:00 PM. End Time: 6:30 AM. Total Hours/Week: 40. Description and responsibilities follow.
- Provide quality inspection activities and support to the Quality Assurance Manager at the Bard Global Distribution Center.
- Review and approve all product processed through the returned goods process prior to returning to stock.
- Review, placard, and track the movement of all quality holds and rejects from the GDC to 8195.
- Assist in the inspection and confirmation of order and inventory accuracy checks.
- Provide assistance in the areas of nonconforming events and investigations.
- The following duties and responsibilities are representative of the work performed and are not all-inclusive.
- Provide review and confirmation of item, lot, and quantities of all product returned to stock.
- Assist in the review and research of non-conformances and CAPAs.
- Provide review and inspection of all inbound quality issues and escalate to QA Manager for approval when necessary.
- Provide on-floor assistance to Managers, Supervisors, and associates for retrieval and printing of SOPs and other controlled documentation.
- Other data gathering activities as defined by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Inspect and approve all QA Holds and/or product rejects moving to the reject area in 8195 for correct item, lot, and quantity.
- Placard and/or identify product moving to 8195 in compliance with existing procedures.
- Coordinate and confirm proper movement and control of product from the GDC to 8195 in conjunction with IQC Personnel.
- Support existing order and inventory movement auditing program to ensure orders are shipping correctly and that location inventory accuracy is maintained.
- Perform routine checks of location and storage of temperature-controlled products to ensure proper storage.
- Perform housekeeping inspections and reports to maintain a clear and orderly warehouse.
- Maintain safety, operate per procedures, and prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Regular and reliable attendance at work.

- Proficient in the use of a personal computer with basic keyboarding skills.
- Ability to use measurement equipment (e.g., pin gauge, calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, able to work independently with little supervision.
- Responsible decision maker with sound judgment.
- Must be detail oriented.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
