Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Overview
The Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for all aspects of facilities and operational equipment maintenance to include conveyors, plumbing, forklifts, compressor, stretch wrap machines, dock doors, etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge and experience in managing various utility services, including electric, water, and steam.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain all conveyor systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and implement improvements in distributed control systems.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair complex electrical / power distribution issues.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment installation or maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and other automated systems within the utility framework.
- Proven experience as an electrical maintenance lead or similar position is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintaining utility systems.
- Previous exposure to distributed control systems and logic controllers.
- Technical school certificate and 5+ years related experience; or High School Diploma or GED, and 5+ years related experience, required.
- 5+ years supervisory experience.
- Hands on trade experience, welding, PLC, electrical wiring, mechanical, and demonstrated problem solving skills preferred.
- Must have knowledge of current trade related regulations and practices.
- Must be able to operate MHE equipment.
- Must have basic knowledge of electrical controls and use of electrical multi-meter devices.
- Must be able to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
- Technical school certificate, and 5+ years related experience.
- High School Diploma or GED, and 5+ years related experience, required.
- 5+ years progressive leadership experience.
- Proven trade experience, welding, PLC, electrical wiring, mechanical, and demonstrated problem solving skills preferred.
