Overview
St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Therapist to join our team. This role focuses on serving individuals with a substance use disorder. The ideal candidate will hold independent licensure in the state of Kentucky and possess a strong background in therapeutic approaches for substance use disorder.
Responsibilities- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions through a trauma-competent lens to address substance use disorders and promote recovery.
- Enhance motivation for change, evoking change while honoring the autonomy of the individual served.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients needs and progress throughout their recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of therapy and develop individual treatment plans, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Understand the disease model with particular appreciation for addiction medicine as one pathway to recovery.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Meet patient care expectations for the position.
- Master s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Independent licensure in Kentucky as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or equivalent.
- Experience in addiction medicine, therapeutic counseling, or mental health services is preferred.
- Must have 80 hours of continuing education related to substance use disorders within four years of starting with the organization or obtain within two years of hire date.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods, including CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to foster trust with patients.
- Evening hours are required, with a rotation of evening group sessions.
