Event Greeter

Principal responsibility is to welcome all guests to our venue with a smile and provide all guests with an exceptional experience for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

Duties:

• Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during or after an event
• Verify that all event signs are in correct sign holders and that you have a list of all events for main sign and greeter desk
• Check restrooms before event begins and throughout the night, spot clean and restock as needed
• Unlock front door and ensure main entrance areas are clean, spot clean as needed
• Setup smoking stanchions and cigarette bin outside
• All event spaces are expected to be ready 15 minutes before the start of event, check with the Banquet Captain before sending guests to the event space
• Kindly greet and welcome all guests as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate event
• Upon arrival of Bridal Parties or Guests of Honor, contact the appropriate Event Captain
• Spot clean and remove all glassware in lobby areas throughout the evening
• Other duties as assigned

• Positive and upbeat attitude and work well with all team members
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Must be able to work weekends
• Punctual
• Energetic and motivated personality
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills
• Part-time, hours will vary depending on events scheduled
