The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. They work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care and are highly visible, creating a positive impression with patients, physicians, and visitors both in person and on the phone.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, treating, and patient education.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members in a patient‑centered care model.
- Maintain a safe work environment by demonstrating knowledge of medical equipment, safety hazards, and precautions.
- Apply advanced practice knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, therapeutics, nutrition, behavioral factors, psychosocial systems, diagnostic testing, and clinical decision making.
- Document encounters and manage cases using electronic medical records.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, and the public.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and demonstrate initiative.
- Proficient oral and written communication, including interviewing and documentation.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and case‑management tools.
- Strong time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, and multitasking skills.
- Analytical ability to interpret data and apply clinical guidelines.
- Team‑based decision‑making experience and ability to work independently with measurable outcomes.
- Resource‑wise utilization and attention to detail.
Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
