FAR Inspections, based in Reno, NV, is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.

Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The purpose of the property inspection is:

• To verify property occupancy.
• To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.

Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.

• Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Spend extended periods driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

• Computer with an internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you will pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. You can earn approximately $30‑40 per hour.

Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you could complete anywhere from 20‑500 inspections per month working 2‑30 hours per week. There is no set volume; the work is consistent month‑to‑month.

No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
