We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a passion to make a real difference. This role works in a warehouse distributing medical appliances to patients, Hospitals, Healthcare Professionals and Wholesalers and demands a high level of dedication to ensure clients receive the right products at the right time. Consequently a high level of flexibility is required, meaning on occasions a shift or normal working times may need to be altered / extended so that an order be fulfilled for the client.

Working on their own occasionally in the course of daily duties means trust and honesty are key attributes of the job holder.

In essence, the ideal job holder will be a flexibly minded employee, keen to learn new skills and improve his or her working environment and enjoy being part of a supportive team

• Prepare, pick and process customer orders, ensuring accurate documentation and customer requirements are met.
• Receive, book in, load and unload deliveries, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain stock levels by processing purchase orders and conducting ongoing and annual stock counts.
• Process customer returns and support the resolution of stock, picking, packing and dispatch issues.
• Work closely with Customer Care, Service and other departments to resolve warehouse-related queries.
• Complete warehouse administrative duties and respond to internal warehouse enquiries.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, following Health & Safety requirements.
• Support racking inspections and ensure correct procedures and maintenance for forklift operations where applicable.
• Complete required product, Information Governance, Corporate and Health & Safety training.
• Work according to daily operational plans and support other reasonable duties as required.

• Previous experience in warehousing, picking/packing and stock management is preferred.
• GCSE/O Level education, 12 months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Strong customer and business focus, with a results-oriented approach.
• Good organisation and prioritisation skills, including record keeping and coordination of tasks.
• Strong computer, data-entry and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong team player, proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop across a broad range of warehouse activities.
• Basic understanding of products and relevant product support materials.
• Good understanding of manual handling and warehouse safety practices.
• Forklift licence preferred, with training available if required.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, bending and accessing higher picking points.
• Able to lift/move up to 20 kg regularly and up to 40 kg with assistance.
