Entry-Level Staff Accountant

This is an entry-level position at BLC Consulting, offering a wide variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments.   Execute a variety of accounting and tax functions, ensuring quality work and timely delivery of assignments.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, Accounting Software, Tax Preparation Software

• Transactions:
  Record transactions in ledgers and prepare trial balances and financial statements using computer software.
• Reconciliations:
  Reconcile accounts to control accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Computations:
  Perform schedule computations of accruals, property & equipment, and calculate depreciation expense.
• Procedures:
  Execute audit or review procedures as assigned by supervisors within allotted time frames.
• Tax Preparation:
  Prepare corporate and/or personal income tax returns.

• Background:
  Entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience:
  
  Possesses 150 credited hours or is actively working towards obtaining 150 hours to qualify for the CPA exam.

  Advanced MS Excel proficiency; strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work effectively with individuals inside and outside the organization; a forward-thinking and hands-on approach; and a desire for continuous learning coupled with leadership skills.
