Loan Servicing and Collateral Specialist

Position Summary: This position reports to the Loan Administration Manager and is responsible for performing duties too varied and diverse to be classified in any specific office clerical occupation. The role may require learning new systems as entry‑level support, answering phones, filing and copying, and various loan maintenance tasks.
Essential Functions:- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other applications.
- Create and/or modify memos, spreadsheets, policy or procedure documentation, or similar.
- Scan all Loan Documentation within the electronic imaging system.
- Assist with workflow of the department.
- Review various daily reports.
- Coordinate the receipt and approval of departmental bills and submit to the Accounting Department in a timely manner.
- Handle all of the Paid files.
- Research and prepare collateral releases such as Mortgage Cancellations, UCC Terminations, Auto Titles, and Life Insurance Policies.
- Prepare and track all Mortgage Re‑Inscription.
- Prepare and balance the Letters of Credit.
- Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
- Manage departmental files.
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
- Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
- Use independent judgment and decision making in carrying out the essential functions of the position.
- Conduct UCC Continuations.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work‑related documents.
- Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively. English and Spanish speaking skills preferred.
- Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Social Perceptiveness – Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Mathematics – Using mathematics to solve problems.
- Microsoft – Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Oral Comprehension – The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Oral Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Speech Recognition – The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
- Speech Clarity – The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
- Near Vision – The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Written Comprehension – The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required;
Minimum 1 year of work experience required.
