Civil Superintendent

Red Ox Construction is looking for an experienced Civil Superintendent to join our team! The Civil Superintendent will oversee and lead field operations across various civil construction projects, ensuring crews, equipment, and materials are effectively coordinated to meet project schedules, production goals, and safety standards.

• Lead and supervise all field operations from project start through completion.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials in accordance with project schedules, plans, and specifications.
• Assign and delegate daily tasks to crews to ensure productivity and efficient workflow.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety requirements.
• Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and adjust field operations as needed to maintain project schedules.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding project schedules, budgets, progress, and potential concerns.
• Complete and maintain accurate daily documentation, including production reports, time sheets, equipment records, and cost tracking.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Foster a strong, accountable, and team-oriented jobsite culture.
• Lead by example and promote professionalism, productivity, safety, and teamwork throughout the project.

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within heavy civil construction.
• Strong experience in areas such as earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, bridges, highways, and related civil construction.
• Proven ability to effectively lead crews and successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, production, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and effectively manage changing field conditions.
• Must be willing to travel.
