Surgery - Vascular Physician

Peripheral Vascular Surgeon opportunity in Covington, LA - Located 40m to New Orleans and 1hr to Baton RougePosition Details

• Full-time, permanent
• 40 hours weekly schedule
• M-F with Clinic and hospital hours
• Responsible for the treatment of patients with circulatory disease that originate away from the heart such as the arteries, veins, or lymphatic vessels.
• Treatment to include surgical procedures such as vascular bypass or angioplasty.
• Diagnosing and treating diseases affecting the peripheral arteries and circulatory disorders Coordinates care with referring physicians and collaborates with other providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to:
- Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.

- The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only).
• Board Certification in General Surgery
• Fellowship training and Board Certification in Vascular Surgery is required.
