Senior Civil Engineer - PM, established and growing firm in Southeast Louisiana

Our established and growing Engineering Consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in public works infrastructure (drainage, water, sewer, utilities) and/or commercial land development projects. This position is intended for a senior engineer ready to run projects independently, lead teams, and build lasting client relationships while playing a key role in the continued growth of our firm.

This is a leadership-oriented role with significant autonomy, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to help shape project delivery standards and long-term direction.

• Lead and manage various civil engineering projects, including land and site development, grading, roadway, and sewer systems.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Conduct detailed analysis and design of stormwater and drainage systems.
• Utilize Civil 3D software for design and modeling tasks.
• Manage erosion control measures and develop effective solutions for environmental engineering challenges.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring all permitting requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Continually monitor project progress, ensuring all milestones are met and any issues are promptly addressed.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A valid Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water, sewer, drainage and/or land development, site development, grading, roadway, and sewer systems.
• Proficiency in H&H and Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater management, drainage systems, and erosion control measures.
• Experience in environmental engineering and familiarity with relevant regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from start to finish.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
