Schedule:

Full-time (Mon–Fri with rotating weekends). Hours may vary. Pay Range: $12.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour. Food service experience preferred.

• Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, and provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering and picking up meal trays. Ensure meals are accurate and delivered at the right time and temperature, and assist with patient safety and satisfaction goals.
• Help patients understand their menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, cultural or religious preferences, and additional patient inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals according to each patient’s selections, and retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and adhere to HIPAA policies and patient rights procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling, station cleaning, and tray line breakdown; observe facility infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians by monitoring patients on restricted diets or calorie-count requirements as applicable.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner and follow department procedures.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts.
