Assemble gearboxes and component parts for refurbishment and assembly.

SPECIAL SKILLS/ Requirements:
• Operate overhead crane and forklift.
• Use hand held power, hand held precision measuring and manual tools.
• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble gearboxes/products. Good written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical components/assemblies to suggest improvements.
• Ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner, while maintaining safety as a priority.
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
• Ability to lift and/or push 25 pounds, stand, bend, and squat with repetitive movements for 8 hours.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
• Work overtime on an as needed basis. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/

EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED. 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work in a team environment to accomplish goals.
• Utilize hand held precision measuring tools such as micrometers and depth mics.
• Perform quality work inspections to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per 5S practices.
