American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN for a night shift position requiring delivery attendance experience and at least 3 years of NICU nursing experience.

• Level III NICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15
• Self-scheduling with every other weekend obligation
• Holiday coverage required: at least 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Float requirement to NOU (1:4-6 ratios) and normal newborn nursery
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active LA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Prior delivery attendance experience required
• Travel experience required - no first time travelers
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in neonatal IV placement, lab draws, ventilator and central line management
• Experience with medication administration via multiple routes (IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT, NGT, oral, rectal, topical)
• Experience with blood product administration

• Attend high-risk vaginal and cesarean deliveries and assist with newborn transition
• Admit and discharge neonates in NICU and NOU settings
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team including NNP, MD, RN, social services, RT, radiology, and OT
• Provide parent education and breastfeeding support
• Assist with procedures including chest tube insertion, PICC/UAC/UVC placement, intubation, and exchange transfusions
• Perform CBG and ABG draws, and assist with x-rays, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and EEGs
• Administer nitric oxide and manage oxygen delivery systems
• Purple/grape scrub color required
• Candidates living within 75 miles are considered local and eligible at the local rate
• Previous LCMC facility permanent employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible for travel assignment
