American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Surgery RN with at least 1 year of experience and EPIC proficiency to provide Pre-Op and Phase II Post-Op care.
Requirements- Active RN license (LA or Compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Outpatient Surgery unit providing care for surgical, endoscopy (ENDO), and cardiac catheterization patients
- Day shift schedule (4x10 Hours), 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Responsibilities span both Pre-Operative and Phase II Post-Operative care
- Prepare patients for procedures by verifying surgical attire, lab testing completion, vital signs, pre-operative assessments, and signed consents
- Provide Phase II recovery care including vital sign monitoring, post-operative assessments, discharge education, and assistance with dressing
- Ensure all discharge criteria are met prior to patient discharge
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be considered for a travel assignment
