Member Frontline Cashier

Overview

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr this range is provided by Walmart. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of our front end. You play a major role in how our members feel in the club and when they leave. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate that our members interact with. You’ll smile, greet, and thank each member. We are looking for friendly faces to run registers and support our members through the self-checkout experience.

The pace can be fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holiday seasons. You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area. It’s hard work, but our cashiers find it rewarding as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members
• Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed
• Assist members with transactions utilizing registers or self-checkout area
• Assist with maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area

Maintains safety of facility according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials; following standard practices; and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.

Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; promoting products and services; guiding and supporting member self-service technology; processing member purchases; assisting with payments according to policies; and organizing merchandise.

Comply with policies, procedures, and ethics; apply related action plans; use Open Door Policy; and integrate these into business processes and practices.

Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify improvements; and adapt to change or feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid as premiums in certain circumstances.

Minimum qualifications:

Customer Service, Retail experience including operating front end equipment (e.g., cash register), and working with mobile retail applications.
