NurseTech Program – Puget Sound Region
The candidate will have a paid position at the time of hire. They will earn a wage while working as a Nurse Tech in our program designed to support and accelerate the skills learned in nursing school. Multi Care will provide career planning and opportunities to experience various work settings each term via rotations in different hospital units, based upon interest and unit availability, to assist the Nurse Tech in identifying their ideal work environment.
Additionally, Multi Care will supply educational opportunities to advance their career path. Upon graduation, the candidate will apply to the Multi Care RN Transition to Practice Residency program to transition from student to a professional nurse.

Position Eligibility- Must have completed first term and a clinical rotation of an accredited program.
- Per‑diem/On‑call, non‑benefit eligible, non‑union position.
- Hospital specific and float every 18 weeks between units where Nurse Techs are accepted.
- Opportunity to work between 6, 8, 10 and 12‑hour shifts during the school year, based on availability. One shift per week required.
- Pay rate: $20.00 flat rate, no benefits.
- Eligible for an optional $2,500 tuition assistance payment every 6 months, after 90‑day probationary period. For each payment received, there is a 6‑month waiting period/work agreement.
- Career exploration support and an opportunity to work on units of interest.
- Upon graduation of Nursing School, candidate is encouraged to apply for RN Transition to Practice Residency positions at Multi Care.
The Nursing Technician is a student enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component.
Minimum Requirements- Current enrollment as a student in an accredited school preparing persons to practice as a Registered Nurse and completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component, or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with results of licensing exam pending.
- Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School coursework.
- Current Washington State Nursing Technician Registered credential.
- Current Health Care Provider level CPR certification.

- Provide direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties at the level of academic competence achieved in the educational program(s) under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Contribute to the assigned unit nursing team, functioning as a member of the unit.
- Remain abreast of current trends and information in nursing and apply this knowledge to practice.
- Attend required unit meetings and classes.
- Apply knowledge, judgment, and skills based on the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences.
- Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited school preparing individuals to practice as a Registered Nurse and completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component, or graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Nursing Technician Registered credential.
- Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School coursework.
- Current BLS certification.
