- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resource utilization.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including:
- Transfers
- Discharges
- Referrals
- Spiritual and psychosocial support needs
- Identifies communication barriers considering psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural factors.
- Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive education.
- Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary personnel as appropriate; may precept student nurses and new staff.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and independence in care delivery.
- Works effectively in fast-paced environments, responding appropriately to urgent situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Partners with healthcare consumers to implement patient-centered care plans.
- Develops therapeutic relationships using caring attitudes and behaviors.
- Applies evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Integrates technology and critical thinking into daily practice.
- Delegates appropriately, ensuring patient health, safety, and well-being.
- Demonstrates respect, empathy, and equity in interactions with diverse and vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrates commitment to MRH’s CHOICE values and represents the organization positively and professionally.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to all departmental, hospital, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Follows safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Completes required annual education, in-services, and licensure/certifications.
- Attends staff meetings or reviews meeting minutes when unable to attend.
- Reports to work on time and completes tasks within designated time frames.
- Maintains effective communication and positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, and time management to maintain productivity.
- Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives.
- Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass drug screening and breath alcohol testing (if applicable)
- Must complete an employee health meeting
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Licensure: Unencumbered RN license in Colorado or Compact State – Required
- Certifications:
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS or ENPC – Required
- TNCC – Preferred
- Med/Surg experience – Preferred
