Scale 4, £14.12 per hour

Craigavon Civic Centre
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing first-class customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy department.
The RoleAs an Administrative Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative support while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues, contractors and members of the public. You'll play an important role in ensuring maintenance requests, financial administration and departmental processes are managed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day administrative support including correspondence, reports, presentations, filing and document management.
- Act as the first point of contact for telephone, email and visitor enquiries.
- Manage and monitor maintenance helpdesk requests, ensuring jobs are logged, tracked and updated through to completion.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate meeting notes and minutes.
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with procurement activities including quotations and tender documentation.
- Research and prepare information for reports, Freedom of Information requests and complaints responses.
- Maintain accurate databases and departmental records.
- Liaise with internal departments, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Deliver a professional, friendly and responsive customer service at all times.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
- At least 1 year's administration experience in a busy office environment.
- Previous customer service experience dealing with members of the public.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise a varied workload and work using your own initiative.
- A professional approach when handling confidential information.
- Experience processing purchase orders, invoices or financial administration.
- £14.12 per hour
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- 37 hours per week
- Flexible working hours scheme
- Temporary contract until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension
