Work Location:
In person We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a varied, hands-on role within the alloy wheel and tyre industry. The role involves fitting tyres, preparing orders, working within the warehouse and delivering wheels and tyres throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This is a practical position that would suit someone with an interest in cars, wheels and tyres.
Previous experience in the automotive or tyre industry is beneficial, but we are also willing to consider someone who is motivated to learn and develop their skills. Your level of pay will depend on your age, previous experience, existing knowledge and what you are capable of doing independently. Duties Alloy Wheel & Tyre Fitting Fit tyres to alloy wheels using appropriate tyre fitting equipment.
Balance wheels accurately using wheel balancing equipment. Build and prepare alloy wheel and tyre packages for customers. Inspect tyres and wheels for damage, defects or other issues before dispatch. Select the correct tyres and wheels for orders. Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Maintain a clean and organised fitting area. Warehouse Duties Pick and prepare stock for customer orders.
Select the correct wheels and tyres for loading onto delivery vehicles. Move and handle wheels, tyres and other stock safely. Load and unload delivery vans. Mount tyres onto wheels when required. Assist with general warehouse duties and stock organisation. Ensure orders are correctly prepared before leaving the premises. Deliveries Drive a company van to deliver alloy wheels and tyres to customers and businesses throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Load the van correctly and securely before leaving. Ensure deliveries are made safely and professionally. Check delivery paperwork and ensure the correct goods are delivered to the correct location. Maintain the company vehicle and report any issues or defects. Skills & Requirements Essential Full, clean driving licence. Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic. Physically capable of handling wheels and tyres.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail. Willingness to learn. Good organisational skills. Professional and polite manner when dealing with customers. Ability to follow instructions and work safely. Desirable Previous experience in tyre fitting, wheel fitting, automotive work or a warehouse environment. Knowledge of alloy wheels and tyres. Understanding of tyre sizes and wheel fitments, including knowing which tyre sizes are appropriate for different vehicles and wheel sizes.
Knowledge of vehicle applications, wheel sizes, offsets, PCDs and other wheel fitment specifications. Experience using tyre fitting and wheel balancing equipment. Previous experience driving a van or making deliveries. Were looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable and willing to get stuck in. The role is varied, so no two days are necessarily the same. You could spend the morning building alloy wheel and tyre packages before heading out in the company van for deliveries, or you may spend part of the day picking warehouse stock and preparing wheels and tyres for customer orders.
Automotive experience is a bonus, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important. The more knowledge and skills you bring to the role, the greater the opportunity for progression and increased pay. Monday Friday, 8:30am4:30pm. Starting pay is National Minimum Wage, with the exact rate dependent on the successful applicants age. Pay can be increased depending on previous experience, automotive knowledge, tyre-fitting ability and overall capability within the role.
