Armagh. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop their career in Quantity Surveying within a fast-paced and innovative business. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, you will gain valuable exposure to the commercial management of a diverse range of prestigious, high-value projects. This role requires only occasional travel. What you'll be involved in:
Assisting with the preparation and submission of valuations. Supporting the preparation and pricing of variations. Assisting with the procurement and management of subcontractor accounts. Collating and administering subcontractor documentation. Reviewing contract documents with the support of senior team members. Assisting with the preparation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and final accounts. Supporting value engineering initiatives and commercial risk management.
Working closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
About You:
You will be enthusiastic, motivated and eager to build a successful career in Quantity Surveying. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, possess excellent analytical skills and be keen to develop your commercial knowledge within a world-class manufacturing environment.
Essential Criteria : A degree (or expected degree) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Desirable Criteria: A placement year or previous work experience within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts.
