Journalist

Our Client a very well-established Print & Digital Publisher based mid-Ulster wishes to appoint an experienced Journalist to work across its several established publications. Salary: £ DOE Journalist Essential criteria:
To be considered, candidates must have: A formal journalism qualification OR Recent journalism experience and strong news judgment, with the ability to work calmly under pressure A track record in delivering original journalism The ability to produce strong analytical material under tight deadlines Interview experience A highly motivated, self-starting attitude Strong proofreading skills and the ability to write clear, concise copy for multiple platforms An understanding of how audiences consume content A detailed knowledge of politics, current affairs, and public policy in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

2+ years print journalism experience, although newly-qualified journalists may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the production of original journalism and analysis. Conduct in-depth interviews with senior business and policy figures. Cover key developments in government, business, and policy-making. Work across digital and print platforms to deliver high-quality content. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all editorial work. Proofread publications in a timely and efficient manner. Actively contribute to editorial meetings. Provide forward planning and production support.
