Ulster Carpets is a long-established, family-owned Northern Ireland manufacturer with a proud heritage dating back to 1938. From our base in Portadown, we manufacture high-quality woven carpets for prestigious customers across the UK and international markets. DESIGN TECHNICIAN We are seeking a technically minded and creative Design Technician to join our Design Studio in Portadown. The successful candidate will have experience in design software and the ability to work on projects from a technical perspective, while maintaining a strong understanding of creative design.

The role will involve close collaboration with the Design Studio and other departments across the business.

Essential Criteria Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
Experience in design software A project-focused approach and the ability to liaise effectively with other departments. The ability to demonstrate creativity. The ability to understand and apply technical concepts and techniques. Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team. Desirable Criteria A third-level design qualification or related discipline. A technical understanding of aspects of interior or textile design.

Previous experience within a design, technical or manufacturing environment.
