Lecturer in Plumbing and Gas within Apprenticeships
36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£34,221 - £40,874 per annum
We are looking for someone passionate about the Plumbing & Heating industry with teaching, assessing and/or IQA experience to teach and assess the next generation of Plumbing Apprentices. This is a field that is in demand and is a growth area for CCN Apprenticeships. We are looking for a Lecturer/Assessor to join a team who deliver, assess and/or IQA for Plumbing apprentices.

You must be a confident communicator who is people focused and able to build relationships quickly. This will be in addition to your strong organisational ability, IT skills and self-reliance.
Responsibilities- Teach and assess and/or IQA for Plumbing apprentices as part of the Apprenticeships delivery team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes for learners.
- Communicate effectively with learners and stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Utilise information technology and develop teaching and learning materials as required.
- Commit to ongoing personal development and participate in appraisal and quality assurance processes.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in Plumbing & Heating sector.
- Level 3 Plumbing & Heating Qualification or above.
- Assessor Award or Teaching Qualification and/or IQA qualification (if you do not have teaching or assessing qualification this is something we can offer as part of your development).
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to obtain required DBS checks as part of Safer Recruitment checks.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service.
Please note:
From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
