Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

The role of the Junior Mechanical QS will be pivotal to Irwins ongoing growth and success and the job role will include:

• Working with a designated QS preparing pre-measured budget costs and measurement for final account
• Liaising, negotiating and relationship building with clients and consultants on an ongoing basis
• Interim valuations
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits

• The applicant should have NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Services
• Excellent communication skills
• To be methodical, pay attention to details and be accurate
• To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team
• Be able to work on own initiative and be self-motivated

• Higher level apprentice/HNC or equivalent within the building services sector
• Working with measured term contracts (MTC rates)
• Experience in commercial and industrial sectors
• IT literate, e.g. proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar
• Full driving license
