About the Role

This position is based in Bristol with hybrid working options. The ideal candidate will have hands-on FPGA design and development experience, with a preference for familiarity with CEMA (Communications, Electronics, and Microwave Applications).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test FPGA-based solutions for defence and aerospace systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams for system integration and performance.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including design specs and test plans.
  • Conduct FPGA code reviews, verification, and validation.
  • Support troubleshooting and provide technical expertise during projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within project deadlines.
  • Proven FPGA development experience using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience with FPGA tool chains (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CEMA technologies is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Previous experience in defence, aerospace, or related sectors is a plus.
