About the Role
Location:
GBS Lurgan (Hybrid working) – Reporting to:
Accounting Manager –
Contract:
Full‑time (37.75 hours) –
Working Hours:
Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm;
Friday 8:00am–2:00pm.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Support month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform inter‑company accounting and reconciliations (AR, AP, loans).
- Assist with cash and FX forecasting processes.
- Help prepare UK statutory accounts.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate procedures.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries with strong customer focus.
- Newly qualified or 1 year PQE as ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW accountant.
- Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
- Exposure to financial systems (Oracle experience beneficial but not essential).
- Knowledge of UK GAAP.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
