Social Care Worker – Disability Services

Wicklow | Full-Time | Permanent

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Social Care Workers on behalf of a leading disability service provider supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings.

This role offers the opportunity to support individuals to live meaningful, independent lives while promoting dignity, inclusion, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and community participation
• Assist with the implementation of person-centred plans and personal goals
• Administer medication in line with policies
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and stakeholders
• Participate in activities and community engagement with service users
• Act as Key Worker for assigned individuals

Requirements

• QQI Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or related field (or working towards)
• Relevant degrees such as Psychology or Social Work may also be considered
• Full clean driver’s licence (essential)
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or complex needs
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and disability services
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
