HR Business Partner
- Manufacturing
- Craigavon

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded manufacturing organisation in Craigavon to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on an interim basis, with a view to becoming permanent
.

This exiting opportunity will suit an experienced HR professional who is immediately available, or available in the coming weeks, and is looking for the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a well-established organisation.

The initial requirement will be on an interim basis, with the intention that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

The role

This is a broad and hands‑on HR Business Partner position, working closely with senior stakeholders and providing trusted advice across the full HR remit.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a generalist HR capacity, with particular strength across employee relations, organisational change and providing pragmatic HR advice to managers and leaders.

A key element of the role will be supporting the organisation through a period of change. This is likely to include restructuring activity, alongside wider project work and the delivery of people initiatives aligned to the organisation's future requirements.

You will provide support across areas including:

  • Complex employee relations and case management
  • Performance management and absence
  • Organisational change and restructuring
  • HR policy and employment legislation
  • Employee engagement
  • Training and development
  • Supporting managers with day-to-day people matters
  • HR projects and wider organisational initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with employee representatives and trade unions

The organisation is looking for someone who can quickly establish credibility with stakeholders and operate as a true HR partner rather than simply providing transactional HR support.

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
, particularly for someone who has worked within a unionised setting and is comfortable dealing with complex employee relations and change.

This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced HRBP or Senior HRBP who enjoys variety, is comfortable working at pace and wants the opportunity to potentially secure a long-term position within the organisation.

The successful candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • Significant experience operating at HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner level
  • A broad HR generalist background with strong employee relations experience
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring or transformation
  • Previous experience working with trade unions / employee representatives
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • The ability to operate confidently with managers and senior leaders
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or similarly complex operational environment would be highly advantageous
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience

The organisation is particularly interested in speaking with HRBPs / Senior HRBPs who are available for an interim assignment and would be open to a permanent opportunity should the role develop in that direction
.

What's on offer?
  • Interim opportunity initially, with a view to becoming permanent
  • Competitive interim remuneration, with a salary up to £65,000
  • Hybrid working
  • Flexible start times
  • Compressed working hours
  • 39-hour working week
  • Flexible Monday-Thursday working pattern, typically 8am-5pm or 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Early finish at 1pm on Fridays
  • Private healthcare
  • The opportunity to work within a well-established manufacturing organisation
  • Potential for significant involvement in organisational change and restructuring projects

This is a highly exciting appointment
, and we are keen to speak with experienced HR Business Partners and Senior HR Business Partners who may be available on an interim basis.
