Are you a strategic HR professional ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People, Culture & Experience team
, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive performance, engagement and growth.
As our HR Business Partner
, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the site’s people strategy. Working directly with the Site Director and Leadership Team
, you’ll provide expert guidance, drive cultural initiatives, and ensure operational excellence across all HR activities. This is a high-impact, strategic and hands-on role where you will influence decision-making, improve employee experience, and help position the site as an employer of choice
.
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver the Group People Strategy
- Lead manpower planning, organisational design, and succession planning
- Identify talent gaps and work with recruitment teams to proactively address them
- Drive change management initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Lead and support complex ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, capability)
- Monitor absence trends and drive proactive interventions
- Ensure compliance with employment law, policies, and procedures
- Build strong relationships with unions and employee forums
- Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition programmes
- Lead DE&I initiatives and drive participation across the site
- Strengthen community partnerships, including schools and local organisations
- Promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with company values
- Drive development planning, performance reviews, and talent frameworks
- Coach and mentor leaders to build capability
- Support early careers programmes, apprenticeships, and training initiatives
- Maximise use of development resources including levy-funded programmes
- Maintain accurate HR systems and workforce data
- Produce insightful KPI reports to inform decision-making
- Lead HR input into audits and ensure full compliance with standards
We’re seeking a confident, commercially minded HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Essential- Proven experience in HR Business Partnering
- Strong background in employee relations within manufacturing or FMCG
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., Resource Link, SAP)
- Leadership or coaching qualifications
- Strategic thinking & commercial acumen
- Change management & organisational design
- Coaching, mentoring & leadership development
- Data-driven decision-making
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
