The Transformation Director for Digital eCommerce will lead end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of large‑scale digital transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for shaping the eCommerce vision, driving operational excellence, and delivering measurable business outcomes across technology, processes, customer experience, and commercial functions.
The ideal candidate is a senior leader with deep expertise in digital commerce ecosystems, program transformation, stakeholder management, and change governance.
Key Responsibilities- Define and refine the organization’s digital eCommerce transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Partner with executive leadership to align transformation priorities with business goals.
- Identify emerging digital trends, technologies, and opportunities that fuel growth and efficiency.
- Lead multi‑workstream transformation programs across product, engineering, marketing, operations, and customer experience.
- Oversee program governance, timelines, budgets, risks, and reporting.
- Ensure disciplined execution and cross‑functional alignment throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Drive implementation of digital platforms including CMS, OMS, storefronts, personalization engines, and integration layers.
- Strengthen digital acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer lifecycle performance.
- Optimize end‑to‑end eCommerce processes—content, merchandising, inventory visibility, fulfilment, and post‑sales service.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for transformation initiatives.
- Guide senior stakeholders through change, supporting decision‑making and removing delivery blockers.
- Build communication plans, training programs, and frameworks to ensure organization‑wide adoption.
- Define KPIs, OKRs, and measurement frameworks for transformation success.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous optimization across digital journeys.
- Ensure outcomes translate into improved customer experience and commercial uplift.
- 12+ years’ experience in digital, transformation, or eCommerce leadership roles.
- Proven track record leading complex, multi‑market or multi‑channel digital transformations.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus), Martech, CRM, and integration architectures.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive‑level influence.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, or B2B/B2C eCommerce environments.
- MBA or master’s degree in Business, Digital Transformation, or related field.
- Certifications in program management, Agile, or change management (e.g., PMP, SAFe, Prosci).
- Visionary leader with the ability to inspire teams and drive organizational change.
- Highly collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and high‑pressure environments.
- Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for digital innovation.
