Procurement Officer Folkestone, Kent Up to £36,000 per annum Full Time | 40 Hours per Week Office Based Manufacturing Sector Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for your next opportunity? A well-established manufacturing business in Folkestone is seeking a driven and organised Procurement Coordinator / Procurement Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to play a vital role in supporting business operations, supplier relationships, and stock management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role Reporting into the Supply Chain / Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring materials and products are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time to support production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently Negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier contracts Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating stock replenishment Working closely with production, warehouse, and planning teams Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements Resolving supplier issues and delivery discrepancies Producing procurement reports and maintaining accurate records About You The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience within a Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain role Experience working within a manufacturing environment Strong negotiation and supplier management skills Excellent organisational and planning abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach Desirable: CIPS qualification or studying towards CIPS
