About

You
  • Possess a third-level qualification in Estate Management, Surveying, or a relevant discipline; or demonstrate 5+ years' relevant experience in property and asset management
  • Chartered Surveyor status or strong practical experience in relevant fields (desirable)
  • Extensive knowledge of land and property transactions, valuation, and lease management
  • Proven financial management skills with experience overseeing budgets
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
What You'll Do
  • Lead strategic asset and property management initiatives to ensure optimal use of council estate and resources
  • Oversee the council's insurance and off-street parking functions, including risk assessments and procurement processes
  • Develop and implement policies related to land transactions and corporate landlord models
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to council committees, providing strategic insights and recommendations
  • Coordinate property transactions with external professionals including valuers and solicitors
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure all targets are met
  • Lead investigations into risk and loss prevention, collaborating with safety teams to minimise future issues
  • Supervise and develop team members to foster a motivated and high-performing environment
  • Support the development of master plans for asset utilisation and accommodation strategies to enhance efficiency
