Electrial Technician

Electrical Technician Location: Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire
Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Electrical Technician role for an established engineering manufacturer based in Kirkbymoorside, supporting electrical and electronic assembly and test work within a controlled shop floor environment.

Hands‑on position focused on build quality, accuracy, and safe working practices in a quality‑driven environment.

• Electrical and electronic assembly from drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Wiring and soldering looms, cable assemblies, PCBs, SMT components, connectors, and control assemblies
• Basic fault-finding and functional testing of assemblies
• Completing build and quality documentation accurately
• Working to quality, safety, and efficiency targets
• Maintaining good housekeeping and safe working practices

• 1–5 years’ experience in an electrical or electronic assembly role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience of low voltage AC/DC wiring, panel wiring, or cable looming
• Understanding of electrical and electronic systems and production processes
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Quality-focused and methodical in approach to build and test work
• Comfortable working to deadlines and production targets as part of a team

• Experience with control or data systems
• Exposure to high voltage installations
• Fibre optic handling or termination experience
  
  Willingness to travel occasionally

• 37‑hour week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am–4.30pm, 4.00pm finish on Fridays
• 30‑minute unpaid lunch break, flexi‑time available
• Overtime paid after 37 hours:
• Time and a half Monday to Saturday
• Double time Sunday
• 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
• 5% employer pension
