Position: Maintenance Engineer Days
Your new company Maintenance Fitter job in the Portadown area, working Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm. A very specialist production facility supplying a UK-wide customer base, they produce a famously high-end product and, with a small team, have a very high production rate and company turnover. They have decades of experience perfecting their recipe and continued investment means this gem of a company offers an interesting and busy role for an engineer that likes to have input on improvements.

Your new role Hands-on maintenance engineer in a stand-alone role. This is a mechanically biased maintenance role with light electrical duties in food production. Peelers, conveyors, mixers, optical sorters, graders all operating to process a high volume product. You will identify areas for improvement that in time will improve performance and availability of the machines. Preventative, reactive and improved maintenance.

If you want a role where your endeavour allows you to manage performance, then this is ideal. What you'll need to succeed Hands-on experience in mechanical fault-finding, inspection and repairs and ability to replace all mechanical components; basic light electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills; ability to deliver improvements and quickly resolve issues. What you'll get in return Working from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday, an hourly pay rate of £18 to £20 per hour depending on your experience and a work van you can take home in the evenings and use to collect spares when required.
