Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Craigavon – £43,000 – £45,000 – Day Shift
A leading global manufacturer within the food production sector is seeking a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established Maintenance Team based in Craigavon. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected organisation operating at world‑class standards, where engineering excellence, reliability and continuous improvement are central to operations.
The RoleAs a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and planned maintenance across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems. You will play a key role in fault diagnosis, equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Working in line with site procedures and safety standards, you will help ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of production processes.
Key responsibilities include:- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment
- Fault‑finding on electrical, automation and mechanical systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
- 4 years' recent experience within a production or manufacturing environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics)
- Strong cross‑trade (mechanical & electrical) practical ability
- Diagnostics and repair of electrical and automation systems
- Experience with PLCs
- Electrical panel wiring, circuits and panel updates
- Mechanical systems including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Air compressors and dryers
- Experience with in food or dairy manufacturing
- Familiarity with maintenance ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, vacuum packing equipment, boilers and steam distribution
