Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with our Food Manufacturing client committed to quality and integrity within all operations on the appointment of Quality Compliance Manager. They supply into the chilled and frozen retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors from their production base in Craigavon.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with food safety, legal, customer, and third‑party standards. This role will lead quality management systems, specifications, packaging and labelling compliance, ingredient approval, and supplier assurance activities, ensuring products consistently meet regulatory and customer requirements.

What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Maintain and develop the Quality Management System to BRC and customer standards.
  • Manage HACCP, internal audits, corrective actions, and food safety compliance.
  • Create, review, and approve raw material, packaging, and finished product specifications.
  • Ensure packaging and labelling compliance with UK/EU food legislation.
  • Oversee supplier approval, ingredient compliance, and technical documentation.
  • Supervise QA and Hygiene teams and ensure accurate completion of quality records.
  • Monitor production standards and resolve day‑to‑day quality issues.
  • Organise microbiological and chemistry samples for submission to the lab and review results.
  • Handle technical queries and support external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong food safety culture.
What you will need to succeed:
  • Clean UK/EU driving licence.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a Quality/Technical role within the food industry (meat experience desirable).
  • 3rd level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP principles, and food legislation.
  • Experience managing specifications, packaging compliance, and supplier approval systems.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to manage technical documentation and present information clearly.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
