Technical Services Manager- Specifications and Artwork

Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses throughout the UK & Ireland. The Technical Services Manager leads the management of product specifications and artwork approval processes, ensuring all products meet legal, safety and customer requirements. This role oversees technical documentation, label compliance, claims validation and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Hours of work ;
Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 What you will do;
Oversee creation, review, and approval of finished product and raw material specifications. Manage artwork approval workflow, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance. Review on-pack information including ingredients, QUID, allergens, claims, nutrition, and mandatory statements. Own and maintain product data sheets, declarations, technical files, and certificates. Manage customer portals for data updates, specification submissions and document uploads. Improve artwork and specification processes to enhance speed and accuracy.

What we will need from you;
Degree in Food Science, Quality, or a related discipline Trained in allergen management, food law or labelling Strong experience in food manufacturing technical roles Significant specification and artwork management experience. Understanding of UK/EU food regulations, FIR, and customer COPs.

Experience with specification systems (e.g. M&S FIND). Experience working with NPD and packaging/artwork workflows. Ability to interpret analytical, nutritional and ingredient data. Strong documentation management and process control abilities with high level of accuracy and attention to detail in technical documents. For the full job description please visit out company website
