While the primary focus will be spray painting and finishing, the successful candidate will also support the production team with workshop duties and assist joiners where required. Full training will be provided on the joinery side of the role.
The Role As a Spray Painter / Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing a range of bespoke timber products to an exceptionally high standard. Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you'll spray windows, doors, staircases and bespoke joinery products while also supporting workshop operations, helping prepare products for manufacture and assisting with the movement and assembly of materials.
The role is approximately 90% workshop-based with only occasional site work required. Products Include Timber windows Doors and door sets Staircases Architectural joinery Bespoke timber products
Key Responsibilities Spray Painting & Finishing Prepare timber products for finishing and paint application Apply paints, stains, lacquers and protective coatings using spray equipment Sand, fill and prepare surfaces to a high standard Inspect finished products to ensure quality and consistency Maintain spray equipment and finishing areas Workshop Support Assist joiners with the assembly and preparation of timber frames and products Move materials and finished products safely throughout the workshop Support production staff with daily manufacturing activities Load and unload deliveries when required Assist with packing and preparing products for dispatch Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Follow all health and safety procedures What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Spray Painter or Finisher, ideally within a joinery or timber manufacturing environment Experience using spray painting equipment Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes Good understanding of preparation and finishing techniques Positive attitude and willingness to assist across the workshop Strong work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience spraying timber or joinery products
Experience with in a manufacturing, workshop or factory environment Knowledge of wood finishing products, stains and lacquers Experience using hand tools Previous labouring, production or joinery workshop experience What's On Offer?
