Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

NOVO is working with an established Northern Ireland business to appoint a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for its Manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can strengthen SHE systems, support operational teams and continue building a positive, proactive safety culture across the business.

Youll take ownership of Safety, Health & Environmental performance across the operation, acting as the key point of contact for HSE matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and improving the HSE Management System
• Promoting a positive safety and environmental culture
• Supporting managers with risk assessments and operational controls
• Leading incident and near-miss investigations
• Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews
• Monitoring SHE performance and improvement actions
• Delivering training, coaching and employee engagement initiatives
• Supporting environmental compliance, waste reduction and sustainability activity
• Driving continuous improvement across SHE performance

What were looking for

Youll have solid Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environment and be comfortable working with people at all levels.

Essential:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation
• Experience managing or maintaining HSE management systems
• Strong risk assessment and incident investigation experience
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Desirable:

• Diploma-level Health & Safety qualification
• IOSH, IEMA or equivalent membership
• ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 experience
• Internal or Lead Auditor qualification
• Environmental or sustainability experience
