About the role
The Packaging department within Almac Pharma Services is responsible for packing medicines for delivery to patients and healthcare providers around the world. We package and label drug products including tablets, capsules, blister packs, cartons, and vials, ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards including temperature control of the product.
We currently have opportunities to join our team in the role of Senior Operator Grade 2, based at our state-of-the-art custom designed facilities in Craigavon.
We are particularly seeking applications for our fixed Night Shift, working hours as follows:
Night shift 22:00 – 06:00 Sun – Thu (37.5 hours per week)
We additionally may have opportunities on our rotating shift pattern, or may create a Reserve List for future opportunities:
Rotating shift pattern working 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00 (37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday)
What you’ll do- Control operations within your production room
- Oversee production processes and operate production equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards
- Prepare production rooms and equipment before each batch, verify materials, and complete all required documentation accurately.
- Support and oversee team members to ensure effective completion of operations
- Experience:
Previous experience working within a production environment involving teams, machinery, and quality control of the product - Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent level qualification) at Grade C or above in English and Maths or significant relevant experience working in a similar role - Skills:
Strong leadership, clear communication (written and verbal), high‑standard documentation, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team. Experience of leading production teams would be an advantage.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
- Previous management/supervisory experience would be a strong advantage.
