Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and prepared potatoes. We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.
Due to continued business success and growth we are looking to add a new member to our experienced team.
Purpose of the roleThe purpose of this role is to safely operate forklifts to move, load and unload materials, stock rotation and control,maintain records and support day-to-day warehouse and production activities on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key responsibilities- Operate counterbalance forklift to move potato boxes and pallets around the site safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload lorries of raw materials
- Carry out routine safety checks and basic maintenance on equipment, reporting faults promptly.
- Store work including rotating stock and stock control
- Using a handheld scanner to accuratly calculate and record information
- Completion of paperwork and computerised checks of goods in and out
- Follow site health and safety procedures, including manual handling and workplace housekeeping standards.
- Work with colleagues in production, quality and logistics to resolve issues and maintain flow.
- Qualification or licence to operate a counterbalance forklift truck (expired licence accepted, training provided)
- Practical experience of loading/unloading vehicles and safe stacking of goods.
- Basic numeracy and accuracy for stock checks and documentation.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work the hours required for a full-time role.
- A valid Right to Work in the UK
- £13.34 per hour
