DescriptionWe are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing business, who are seeking a Compliance Technologist to play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance across the manufacturing process.
The Compliance Technologist will be responsible for overseeing intake quality, supplier compliance, GMP standards, and QA team activity on the factory floor. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a QA professional looking to take the next step into a supervisory position within a supportive and structured technical environment.

Strong Compliance Focus – BRC, GMP, supplier approval, and process control

Manage intake processes, carrying out inspections to ensure goods meet specification
Complete and manage EHO and Phyto certification applications
Follow up with suppliers regarding non-conformances, missing documentation, and corrective actions
Trend quality data and present KPIs to support continuous improvement
Day-to-day supervision of student QA team, planning and allocating tasks to ensure daily GMP and food safety compliance
Ensure compliance with BRC and customer standards across production
Complete sign-off of process control documentation, including packaging checks, date codes, weights, and product quality
Support Production with allergen control and carry out verification swabs to release lines
Maintain supplier approval documentation and support new supplier onboarding
Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), including follow-up and trending
Prepare for upcoming EUDR requirements by collecting and recording supplier verification and DDS codes
Monitor Works Order Best Before reports and request extensions where required
Support additional quality projects as directed by the management team
Essential:
Strong understanding of food safety principles and Good Manufacturing Practices
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
High standard of written and verbal English
Strong attention to detail with a reliable and proactive work ethic
Flexible approach to meet business requirements
Desirable:
Degree (or equivalent) in a food, science, or technical discipline
At least 1 year’s experience in a similar QA or Technical role
Level 2 Food Safety and Level 2 HACCP
Internal Auditor training
