Junior chef​/kitchen assistant - Suegars catering LTD

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef / Assistant Chef to join our private dining kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a smaller, high-quality kitchen environment focused on delivering exceptional food and personalised dining experiences.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard for private dining events and exclusive bookings.

• Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and service
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu and standards
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
• Support menu preparation and ingredient organisation
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and fully stocked
• Help with plating and presentation for private dining service
• Work efficiently during service while maintaining quality

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Assistant Chef preferred
• Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but professional kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
